New COVID Restrictions.

Posted: 23/12/2021

Yesterday we received an update from the Executive and it was not the news that we had hoped for with COVID regulations once again being tightened in response to the Omicron variant.

Until Monday 27th December, dining will continue as it has done over the last few months so Christmas dining will not be impacted. However, from 27th December, there will be a return to table service only and we would ask our members not to approach the bar as staff will serve them once seated. The number of people allowed at our tables has also been restricted to a maximum of 6 from different households or 10, if from a single household. Children under the age of 12 are not included in this total.

Government guidelines also prohibit dancing and we have made the decision to cancel our New Years Eve Formal and return to normal dining.

Face coverings when not seated remain mandatory as does the requirement to provide evidence of vaccination or exemption on arrival.  We do need this to be shown on every visit to ensure the Club does not incur a fine.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look as though the weather tomorrow night will be kind enough to us to allow us to do the Carol singing outside, therefore, we are making the decision not to hold it this year.
The Christmas Eve draw will still take place at 9pm in the Club, so if you haven’t yet managed to secure your numbers, you still have the opportunity to do so.

We would like to thank all our members from their continued support as we navigate the ever changing landscape of hospitality during this pandemic and wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas.
