While busy tracking Mikey Ferguson on the Transat Jacques Vabre we have shamefully overlooked the fact that another RUYC member, Lori McAleer was at sea crossing the southern Atlantic on Leg 2 of the Clipper Round the World Race on board Ha Long Bay,  Vietnam. The team are currently lying 5th overall after Leg 2 having arrived into Cape Town on Friday, crossing over 4,000 miles from the start on 23rd October from Punta del Este in Uruguay. Lori is planning to be on board Ha Long Bay for Leg 7, the USA Coast to Coast Leg from Seattle to New York via Panama starting on 2nd May 2020; she is a regular crew on Johnny Minnis’s Final Call, a multiple prize winner in Belfast Lough, Scotland and Dun Laoghaire this year.
