Fantastic achievement on Tuesday by Club member and former Honorary Secretary Tony Weston in partnership with fellow "Donaghadee Chunky Dunker" Martin Strain. Dropped off by the RUYC rescue RIB in Chapel Bay Copeland Island they swam to Donaghadee Harbour in 1 hour 16 minutes (No wetsuits). They set off roughly due West until the SE stream carried them down to their destination. The RIB, crewed by Martin's wife Kathryn, David Meeke and Bob Torrens shadowed them on the way across.

They will be making a donation to Marie Curie Cancer Care. The RUYC Facebook page will shortly be posting a link for members who would like to make a small gesture in honour of their courage.
