Update on club dining
Unfortunately, due to Przemek having to travel to Poland at such short notice and his return on Tuesday the normal kitchen operations have been slightly affected. Christine Corran has worked doggedly to ensure we have a continued high level of service during Przemeks absence by bringing in staff from their other franchises during this period.
In order to comply with our local Executive Regulations, Przemek has to self isolate for 14 days from yesterday. Therefore, due to our limited manpower and slightly disrupted continuity, we have had to evaluate the situation regarding themed dining over the next couple of weeks.
Thankfully, planned dining can proceed with the exception of this weekends Sunday Carvery as there are only 18 covers booked and it is uneconomical to bring in the extra staff required. There will be an A la Carte menu instead. Those Members who have pre-booked will be contacted to consider their options.
At this stage, it is planned to treat all other events as ‘business as usual’. However, our trading operations remain very much in the hands of the Executive and any future regulations and guidelines.

RUYC 2020 Golf Championship
Last Fridays golfing outing or to give it its formal title "the RUYC 2020 Golfing Championship” was a spectacular success. Despite a dodgy forecast, the sun came out at "Tee Off" time. Thank you all for taking part and making it such an enjoyable occasion. So many of our Club’s events have had to be cancelled owing to the Coronavirus situation, it was a great relief we were able to go ahead with the competition.
Eat Out to Help Out Extended to Tuesday Evening
Extended Dinning and Eat Out to Help Out
We are delighted to announce that the times for dining in the club will be extended from Wednesday 5th August, to not only re-introduce our ever-popular Saturday Brunch and Lunch service but opening on a Wednesday to allow our members to take advantage of the "Eat Out to Help Out Scheme"

Latest Covid-19 Update from the RYA
Please find below the latest information from RYA Northern Ireland.
"The NI Health Minister last night (19th May) signed the amendment to Coronavirus Restrictions permitting Outdoor Activity from today.
We continue to seek clarification from the Government Approach to Decision Making announcement, specifically with terms of ‘some water activity’. In the absence of any further guidance from Government Departments, our current interpretation is that this does permit all forms of boating activity (sailing, windsurfing, powerboating etc) but only when safely:
- undertaken by individuals or members of the same household;
- there is no sharing of hard surfaces (including all types of boat);
- public health guidance is followed at all times;
- strict social distancing can be undertaken.
RYA affirms the guiding principles supporting its return to boating strategy
The RYA have now outlined the 'guiding principals' that will shape its detailed response to the Governments plans for easing restrictions.
Many Happy Returns
A huge congratulations and happy birthday to Michael McKee who turned 90 yesterday and was treated to a socially distanced chorus of “Happy Birthday” by some of our members! Many Happy Returns Michael!
