Attention all Royal Ulster Yacht Club Members who have been cruising on their Yachts and Motor Boats, over the last three years, (2019, 2020 & 2021). Normally the Logs would only be accepted from the year 2021 but due to Covid-19 and its variants, we have extended this period to include any one of the three years.   

The Adjudicator is Major Ivan Nelson. Ivan has a vast cruising experience and is a member of long standing at RUYC.

The Viscount Bangor Trophy for the Best Log from a Yacht,  The Crawford Cup Trophy for the Best Log from a Motor Boat, The Longship Trophy for the Best Overall Log.  The Awards are engraved Crystal Plates for the Winners to take home.

The Logs should include a small chartlet showing where you have been cruising, your crew, a photo or two, some amusing tit-bits, navigation,  weather info, etc. and presented in a folder.

The closing date for the Logs is the 31st January 2022. The Logs should be delivered to the RUYC Office before the closing date. Hard Copies please on A4 Paper would be much appreciated.

The presentation of the Awards will take place at the RUYC Cruising Dinner on the 25th February 2022. Tickets are soon to be available from the Office.  Dress code for Men: Reefer Jackets and Ties.
