Ross has sailed since the 1980’s. While still interested in racing he is often found cruising with his family in his Elan 40 ‘Evenstar’.

He pursued his interest in sailing to complete a degree in Naval Architecture and Yacht Design in Glasgow and then training as a Lloyds Register of Shipping marine surveyor in London. After training as a Chartered Accountant Ross now runs his own practice in Belfast city centre.

He is a past Commodore of Quoile Yacht Club and also a member of BYC and the Irish Cruising Club. Ross has been on RUYC General Committee since 2021.
