Rory Flannigan

    Rory has been brought up around Royal Ulster Yacht Club; he has volunteered on the Safety Boat and Marklaying Team since 2006, marklaying for various local, regional, national and international events held at both Royal Ulster Yacht Club and at Ballyholme Yacht Club. In 2016 he was a marklayer for the RC44 class at Royal Malta Yacht Club. He has run Royal Ulster Yacht Club's Safety Boat and Marklaying team for the last four years, helping to modernise and revitalise both the boats as well as the team.

    Rory has represented Royal Ulster Yacht Club and Northern Ireland on the national and international stage in powerboating. 

    For the last year Rory has been crewing on a RS400 representing Royal Ulster Yacht Club both here in Belfast Lough as well as in Galway Bay.

    This is Rory's second tenure on the General Committee having previously spent four years on the committee redesigning the club's merchandise and rewriting various club policies.
