Iain Kennedy is an active sailing member of RUYC, racing and cruising with the Cleggs on Ocean Tramp, amongst others. Iain has been a productive member of the Club's Finance Committee for a number of years and has previously been a member of the Social Committee. During his time on the Finance Committee, he has led on a number of successful grant applications for support during Covid (c.£60k) and for Bangor Town Regatta (£10k).

Professionally, he has worked for 12 years in the higher education sector across corporate finance and governance, grant acquisition and project management - all areas which will be beneficial to General Committee and ultimately the Club. Iain has also served as a university governor, charity trustee and is currently in his third year as Chairman of Bangor RFC.
