Charlie grew up in Bangor and has been around RUYC his whole life with his family.  When he moved home from Edinburgh in 2016 he became a member in his own right, and has had experience sailing on Ocean Tramp with his Uncle Roger, and sailed in the 2022 SLYC Frostie Series with the McDowells on Whistlin’ Dixie.

He works as a Systems Engineer, primarily in data analysis and requirements elicitation. Additionally, he has been a member of several committees including Treasurer at Edinburgh University Rugby Club, the Belfast representative on the Thales UK Graduate Committee, Rugby Match Secretary at Bangor Rugby Club, RUYC Social Committee, and the 2021/2022 RUYC General Committee.
