Catherine has been a member of Royal Ulster for over 35 years, before joining the General Committee in 2018, before becoming the youngest and first female Officer to serve in the Clubs history.

She began sailing at 6 years old in the Optimist class and “cruising” in her father’s Dragon, “Sou’wester”, and has raced in a variety of both dinghy, multihull and keel boat classes up to European and World Championship level, as both a helm and crew. Recently, she has also been in involved in race management supporting both Royal Ulster and Ballyholme Yacht Club events up to National Championship level.

She is a Senior Manager with Deloitte, specialising in Programme and Project Management in the Energy, Resources and Industrials sector.
