During her time as a member of RUYC, Barbara has actively contributed in a positive way to the life of the Club. She has worked as part of the Social Committee for the past 7 years, taking on the role of Social Convenor in 2022.

Barbara has been instrumental in bringing new and innovative social events into the Club calendar and refreshing some of the long-standing Club favourites, getting involved in all aspects of the organisation and running of these events. In addition, she has served in the race management crew for 6 years, both in the Battery and on Committee boats, and as the Club Librarian oversaw the renovation and cataloguing of the Gordon Finlay Library.
